re: wedding planners

I am interested to know if any of you are using a wedding planner and if you think they are worth the money?
What do they help you with?

I had a wedding planner, but I was lucky in that she came with the hall that we rented. She helped me with practically everything! She gave me a list of recommendations for DJ's, flowers, caterers, photographers, etc. It was nice not having to do this searching on my own! My wedding planner also kept in contact with everyone to make sure things would flow smoothly on the big day! I chose the "make your own invitations" route, so having a wedding planner freed up a lot of time so I could tackle the DIY side of the wedding. I would highly recommend a wedding planner if your budget allows it. It's amazing how they can relieve so much stress!
