Unhappy Mistake on invitations...help!!

Hi, i'm new here and need an opinion and help.
I just got my invitations for my wedding yesterday and realized that we did not specify tha the ceremony will be in a church..look this is what happens:

Invitation says:
....to our marriage on .... at
St. Jonh the Apostle
14563 S. Sunnyside
city, St

It should be: .......at
St. John the Apostle Church

I called the place to see if they can fix but since it was my mistake not to write down in the paper that they gave me. I would have to pay to get correct ones, I already spent $300 in these..I don;t know what to do.

Hey Dayana123,

I see what you mean....since it is a Saint most people should assume church.

I guess if it is really needing to be changed I can think of 2 things you could do.

1. This would be my recommendation....add a slip of paper in with the invitation. It could have the corrected location on one side and a map with directions on the other. This way you are still making sure people know the location but also providing them with a resource to help them find you. If you don't like the map you can put what locations you are registered at or maybe open hotel information for guests who are traveling from further away.

2. You could print up stickers with the updated location and then stick them over the address. If done right, it could look good. Colored stickers that match the invitation or something big enough to cover the whole address and be replaced. Make it look more it is there on PURPOSE instead of there to fix a mistake.

I know it is frustrating but know that everyone will get there and most will not even realize you did not have the word church on the end.

I hope this helps.

Peace, DJ Bill
