They are really pretty. It also depends on the bride's dress because you don't want a flower that is intricate with a dress that has a lot of design because it make take away from the dress. Lotus flowers are really pretty as well. http://www.flowers-cs.com/lotus.html

white hydranges (spelling?)
they are affordable, look great, and come in a variety of colours and they are a big flower with lots of little flowers on one stem

carnations and tulips are bloody fantastic ideas!!! =]

I saw a gorgeous wedding done with stargazer lillies and red roses paired together. It was stunning. I would google it and see if you can see some examples online!
