Default Should I buy new shoes for a wedding? I am a bridesmaid....?

Should I
1. Wear shoes that I already have from another wedding that are terrible uncomfortable and either dance in stocking or socks.

2. Buy cheap flat shoes all day- little nervous about buying flats because I am 5"4 and the heaviest girl in the wedding party. Do I really want to be the shortest too?
3. Buy a really nice expensive pair of new shoes that fit good and feel good. They are $100.00 and just try to wear them again? They are silver which is why I am debating their "usage".

The shoes look like the link- but solid silver and Nordstroms has them on sale for $100.00

What should I do? The bride doesn't care what we wear as long as it's silver. This is my dress

So you won't see the shoes.
Oh, I have a bad foot and I can't do payless :( I have to have a little bit better of a shoe.

Wow, that's a gorgeous dress. :)

If you can't see the shoes, I'd go with flats. You are better off being comfortable all day. Although I'm sure you could find lots of use for silver shoes, under black dresses/dress pants, etc.

If there is a Payless Shoe store in your area, you should see if you could find a stylish pair of inexpensive shoes that you never have to wear again if you don't want to. If you find the pair too tight, see if they have the style in wide width.

Your feet will thank you by allowing you to smile without wincing.

Go with the flats. I don't care how much the shoes cost, there are no heals that are going to feel good after walking/standing in them all day!

First I just have to say that I LOVE that dress. I'd go with the shoes you already have and then bring in a pair of flip flops for the reception. Instead of wearing stockings under the dress, go with spanx (or the like) they are worth the money and won't be a problem when you kick your shoes off.

i'm always a fan of comfort over style. i'd look for an inexpensive pair of silver sandals with a small heel - maybe 1-2 inches.
good luck! shoe shopping is so much fun!

Buy cheap shoes. I made the bride (my sister) buy my shoes. They were $20, and we covered them with the same fabric as the dress. Threw them out the next day. However, they were not so uncomfortable that I couldn't dance in them.

Unless you have a generous budget or have other places you could wear those silver shoes, paying $100 for one time use shoes is outrageous.

I love that dress!

My advice--don't spend too much money on shoes that you might not get any other use out of. If you already have shoes that you feel will work well and are comfortable enough, then go with that. Otherwise, buy a pair that isn't too much money and can be re-usable with other outfits/occasions. Payless Shoes is great for stuff like this because you can get shoes for about $25 or less and not feel bad about it. Also check out www.zappos.com for affordable shoes--free shipping.

I'm a fan of cheap and comfy, and you can find BOTH in the SAME style at PayLess, plus have them dyed to match. Please check with your Bride. Some Brides are unreasonably picky ablout the smallest of details.

Do not wear the uncomfortable pair of shoes. You'll only be miserable.

Those silver shoes that you like: do they come in black, so you'll get more usage? If you really think you'll only wear the silver ones only once, and no one will see another color, I would go with the flats. I'm your height and wore flats to my wedding--was quite comfortable and the shoes were maybe $30.
