Default Wedding involving kids jealous of the other kids ?

My brother is getting married he has one boy, she has a boy and a girl. Kids are boys: 11(his), 9,and 5 yr girl(these 2 hers), and a wee baby. Baby wont care if he is not in it, But the boys are very jealous of each other. Younger boy and girl (brother and sister) are to be ring bearer and flower girl. So the older boy was to be a groomsman to walk with aunt(me). Might not happen due to another maid maybe backing out. So what can we do with the older boy, so that there is not a jealousy issue about one doing something more important than the other. the wife to be and I think this might be an issue either boy could get upset if they feel that the other is more special. I think it is fair to include them all, but we are at a loss as what to do. We thought of maybe having the older boy bringing the baby down the aisle , but not sure of what to do. Any suggestion

Is there a family friend that has a kid who could be a junior bridesmaid? He would sort of have a "date" then too. I think that would be the best, the flower girl and ring bearer have a large part, and I don't think that the older boy would want to just carry the baby down the aisle....

Make sure that the baby is in lots of pictures and such though, when he/she is older, they may look back and see his brothers and sisters being a big part of the wedding, and the baby not...

Just a thought. I think if possible, get a junior bridesmaid though.

crystal bell.. he can be the 'ring bearer' of another sort, and lead in the little ones and the bride.. making all aware of the arrival and progression of the event! the little one holds the pillow.. the girl, the petals, this boy leads them down, and rings the bell.. or right in front of the bride, before she enters, and he rings her down the aisle!

With a little supervision he can be an usher to help people to their seats, ask them to sign the guestbook, pass out programs or favors, etc. If he has a job with lots of involvement he will feel important and stay busy. Also, from my experience, 11-year-old boys don't necessarily *like* the limelight - maybe your brother should talk to him to see just how involved he wants to be.

Have both boys be ring bearers.

To avoid the jealous issues, we are actually having 2 ring bearers and 3 flower girls. That way the kids all have the SAME status.
And ring pillows come with fake rings "for looks" so we're having the ring bearers walk up with the fake rings and our best man will have the real rings on him.
