Default How do i loose 20 pounds by my sisters wedding day? lol?

I'm suppose to be a bridesmaid and I don't want to wear that ugly dress and look fat in it too.lol Unfortunately I weigh at 150 and I am 19 years old. My doctor told me that I was overweight for my age. i have been exercising for a whole month and have only lost 5 pounds. Am I doing something wrong. I have lost weight before. I have lost about 20 lbs in a month before and didn't have a problem doing it. Ive even had flat abs between 6 months, but now that im out of high school its very hard because I go to work everyday and im too tired to exercise

so i took up jogging for a whole hour at the park and do sit ups and stretching for a whole 30 minutes, but haven't been loosing any weight. what should i do with the wedding just 30 days away? lol help plz!! lol

You have to eat right and exercise...to loose weight quickly I recommend a low carb diet. That seems to make me lose it pretty quick when I need to. You will gain it right back though if you don't change the bad habits.

a fast paced walk is better than jogging. even though you may look stupid it works much better. fast paced walking for about 45 minutes to and hour a day is best. good luck

Losing 20 lbs in 30 days is not healthy. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week.

Also, exercising may help you put on muscle. So you're losing fat, but gaining muscle, so weightwise you aren't going to go down as much.

Focus on what you're eating. Switch over white carbs (i.e. breads, rice, pastas) to whole wheat. Eat lots of veggies and fruits. Eat lean proteins. Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're satisfied. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Don't starve yourself or you'll just shut your metabolism down and won't lose weight. The best way to lose weight is to keep your metabolism going all the time - so having 5-6 small meals rather than 3 big ones.

Most importantly though, go by your health, not some number on a scale. If you have a lot of muscle mass from working out, then your clothes will fit better and you'll feel healthier, even if the scale doesn't go down as much as you wanted.

Go on the South Beach diet...it's pretty easy if you don't mind not eating carbs and it's healthy. It doesn't make you starve yourself either!!
I lost 10 pounds in about 3 weeks with it.
Do NOT try and loose 20 pounds in one month!! it's unhealthy and you'll be hurting yourself more than you'll be helping...plus, you could faint from malnutrition while your standing up in her wedding!! you don't want that to happen!

Also, lift weights with your arms...toned arms do wonders for dresses.

If all else fails, you can invest in body shaping under garments...

Good luck!!!
