Default Where wedding rings popular in the 17th century?
I was wondering how wide spread the concept of a wedding ring was in either 17th century Britain or colonial America, or who it would have been limited to (i.e. the wealthy, etc). I do know that there were rings made of grass and the like, but I am thinking more of the jewelry, precious metals, etc.
