Default Why would it be a bad idea to get your wedding rings in titanium instead of silver or gold?

Never get your rings in silver. It's too soft of a metal. It's not a bad idea to get your wedding rings in Titanium at all. There are a lot of sites that offer men and women titanium rings and some even with diamonds. They're very durable and light weight. A lot of men wear them. They're pretty popular, can't go wrong!

It doesn't matter what your bands are made of, it's the symbolism behind them.l

nothing wrong with either of the three metals! its all a matter of personal choice. right now titanium and tungsten are the trendy metals but the choice is yours and there is no wrong or right!

My husbands wedding ring is steel. The ring doesn't have to be gold. Actually titanium is becoming a popular choice for men's wedding bands. The only thing I can think of why it would be bad is because you can't resize them. If your finger ever gets fatter or slimmer you will have to get a new ring.

Just pick whichever is best!!!! For my wedding I am getting a diamond & white gold channel set ring - which is traditionally and eternity ring or something but I dont want a plain band and I love them it im getting it :o) Meanwhile my partner is getting a titanium ring which looks awesome!!! The only thing with titanium rings though is that if there is ever any kind of emergency and you need to go to the hospital, they cant cut them off like other metal rings...they have to get a professional jeweller with the right tools to do it.... so if you or your partner have some kind of crazy dangerous job then it might not be the best idea! Otherwise if thats what you want go for it!!! :o) Also make sure it is def the right size as our jeweller told us the same thing applies...if its a bit tight...dont jam it on cause you wont get it off!! :o)
Good luck!!!!

i can't think of any reason why it's bad... it's a little more expensive than gold, but it is a stronger more durable metal. so if you like the way it looks then it's a good wedding ring.

Cons are that if it ever needs to get cut off, special equipment is needed. (Both paramedics and emergency rooms have them though, so in an emergency you should be all set.) But that means it cannot be sized.

Titanium can also potentially cost more than some silver or gold, depending on the titanium. And though it's silvertone, it's more of a "gunmetal" shade than bright silver.

But other than that, they're extremely durable and quite different-looking. Very popular with guys.

you can never re size them. So if either of you gain or lose weight you would have to buy new rings. my parents have had to have their wedding bands re sized twice in their 30 year marriage.
