In Winnipeg, everyone has something called a social. You make tickets, sell them for $10 each. You rent a hall and you have a lot of businesses provide prizes and make prize baskets. You get alcohol and sell drinks all night and have a DJ. You provide "social food" which is salami, kielbasa, ham, cheese, bread, mustard & butter for those who get hungry around 11 pm. You sell 50/50 tickets and tickets for your prizes. If you know a lot of people, you can usually make about $3000
