All the weddings I've been to have been pretty standard and cookie-cutter. I'm getting married this year and it's important to me to make our wedding stand out and be memorable, so we're doing a few "weird" things:

We're having the officiant stand with her back to the guests so that we can face our family and friends during the ceremony. I hate staring at the back of the bride's and groom's heads for 20 minutes.

We're doing a fun, choreographed first dance to surprise our wedding guests and get the party started. It'll be great for photo opportunities and will make our guests want to dance, too.

We have very specific musical tastes, and are incorporating some of our favorite songs into the ceremony and reception. We'll be playing Metallica, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

My brother will be walking me down the aisle while my step-dad plays a Pink Floyd song on the guitar, and my brother will also be standing with me as my Man of Honor.

Instead of a bouquet-toss, I'll throw a handful of wrapped fortune cookies to the ladies.

We're going to have a candy buffet in leiu of wedding favors that people would most likely throw away anyway. We'll have jars of candy to match our wedding colors (lime green, black and silver) and little scoops and bags so they can take as much or as little as they want.

These are just a few examples, hopefully this is what you're looking for!
