Periwinkle is a great compromise color, since your fiance doesn't like purple. Greens are nice, but more for background than the main focus. If it's hot where you are and your flowers will be outdoors, ivories and whites can get brown by the end of the day. Calla lilies seem to hold up the best. What about light pinks? Good luck!
