My personal opinion is to donate to a charity or organization in your guests names. Example...St Judes Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee. You know, the one Marlo Thomas promotes? Well, if you go to their website, they actually have favors to give out explaining the donation. You can order as many as you need, there is no minimum donation, and St Judes accepts all children for treatment, regardless of their parent's ability to pay. I, thank God, have never had to take a sick child there, but would help and encourage anyone who needed treatment to make the trip. $.85 of every dollar goes to patient treatment and research. Other than something like that, I find favors to be ridiculous. I don't want anything with the couple's names and wedding date on it to keep forever. I would rather that $$$ go to something worthwhile. It's very simple, it's great karma, and I'm sure many organizations have something similar, but St Judes is my favorite.
